AW Cover-Title Wars: Alexandra Potter’s You’re (Not) the One

I’ve just recently started reading You’re (Not) the One by Alexandra Potter and so far I absolutely love it! The entire concept is so original and I’m already in love with the characters. It’s been fantastic to break into a reading slump I’ve been going through in the recent past.

Now, my only hang-up about the book may have to be the cover. To be honest, when I initially picked up my copy I thought the cover was filled with jellyfish floating in the air. (I’m still not completely convinced that those fireworks aren’t actually flying jellyfish.) I love the colors of the cover, but if I’d passed it in the book store I’m not sure I’d be compelled to pick up a cover featuring what I initially believed were jellyfish. Yeah, just not my thing. I do however love the UK cover with it’s slightly different title You’re the One That I Don’t Want!

So, you tell me…Do you favor the US cover & title on the left or the UK cover & title on the right?

I read this book maybe a year ago, and absolutely LOVED it. Alexandra’s writing style is great and humor..just amazing! I must say I prefer the cover and the title of the UK edition. Having in mind I already read the book, I think the UK cover and title suit it better:)

This is awful…its like a dead flower or as you said a jelly fish!!! Ugh
I read this last year in original but i wasn’t a huge fan of that cover at the time it just seemed a bit washed out :(
enjoyed the inside however xxx :)

I can see where they’re going w/ the fireworks, but you’re right. They’re jellyfish. Shame, really because otherwise that’s a pretty cover. I never liked the UK cover because it’s just GREEN, all GREEN. So I’m tied w/ this one!

I didn’t like the US cover at all, and let alexandra know on facebook. The uk cover on the other hand. Wow ! x

Well, I read it last October and I loved it. I think it’s so far the best by Alexandra Potter!
But the edition I bought was the UK one and it was quite OK for me. I don’t hate it, but I could think of other hundreds of designs for the book.
The US one is definitely a shame. It’s hideous! Horrible colour combination. Jellyfish, ick!

I liked the book too. Prefer the UK cover.

I like the jelly fish cover myself. It makes me think of fireworks.

Before reading anything, I thought the US cover was a bouquet of drooping flowers, not very pretty. I like the UK cover though, I love the green colours.
