AW Editor Article: A Post of Thanksgiving

As many of our readers are aware this past Thursday was Thanksgiving here in the US. Personally it’s a holiday I look forward to as a time to reflect on the wonderful things I’ve been given throughout the year. Obviously one of those points of reflection would cover all of the amazing books I’ve read throughout the year. Fortunately for me this year has been a spectacular year with more books that I can remember that have far exceeded my expectations.

In celebration of this wonderful time of year I thought I’d share the top five books I’ve read & reviewed this year that have left a lasting impression on me for one reason or another. I should add, this isn’t my top reads from the year because that list will be coming later. These are the books that have moved me and had me reflecting on the things I have to be grateful for in life. So, without further hesitation, my top five book that gave me thanks (in no particular order)…

Alice Bliss by Laura Harrington
The Violets of March by Sarah Jio
Skipping A Beat by Sarah Pekkanen
The Bird Sisters by Rebecca Rasmussen
Before Ever After by Samantha Sotto

What about you? Is there a book that’s given you moments of reflection and thoughtfulness? I’d love to hear about it!

OMG – I have all of these books but The Bird Sisters. I have had them for several months and other books are getting in my way. Now I have to move them up on my list! Thanks for the post!
